it’s wednesday, november 26, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called śravaṇa until 1 p.m. MST, then dhaniṣṭā. one way we analyze the signs is by looking at the sign opposite. in the case of capricorn, that’s cancer. we can think of this axis as a seesaw, aka a teeter-totter. we are always teetering & tottering between the two, using the one to balance the other. ideally we’re never always up or always down, never always seeing or always sawing. capricorn wants structure & stability, cancer wants to flow & connect. earthy capricorn provides a container for our emotions (cancer), watery cancer makes sure we don’t become so rule-bound, so, well, self-contained, that we alienate ourselves from others.

the challenge of capricorn is to be disciplined & steadfast without becoming disconnected or a stick in the mud.

śravaṇa, as i mentioned yesterday, is the star of deep listening & that the distractions that abound are impediments to our ability to listen, to tap into source, connect with our intuitive gifts (which we all have), to be able to hear the voice within, the voice of the divine, god, whatever you want to call ineffable knowing &/or wisdom.

in the jyotish conference i attended sam geppi (who was my first teacher) talked about media’s suck, not only on our time & energy, but actually on our IQ’s. if we want to raise our frequency so we can tap into the frequency of the highest, it would behoove all of us to smarten up by spending way less time on our devices & way more time in silence.

dhaniṣṭā is represented by a drum & is sometimes called śraviṣṭā, as it is also connected to hearing (śrav derives from the sanskrit verb that means “to hear”). dhaniṣṭā suggests that we are “the most heard of,” as in being famous. the drum suggests that the way we become famous (fame is relative!), heard of, is by by tuning into our own rhythm, dancing to our own beat.

it’s the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waxing moon, until just before noon, then the seventh. the sixth tithi gives us the confidence to manifest bigly & permanently, the seventh reminds us that confidence gone too far can become ego-inflating pride, which is so not a good look!

wednesday is ruled by chatty mercury. not one but two other amazing teachers & conference presenters (freedom cole & eve mendoza) talked (!) about the power of words to create our reality & so the need to be very, very careful about how we use, or abuse, them. more another time. …

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
