it’s friday, october 3, & moon moves from capricorn into aquarius about 10 a.m. MDT while being supported & ttransported by the starspace called dhaniṣṭā. capricorn vibrates with the frequency of our responsibilities vis à vis our personal lives, aquarius with the frequency of our responsibility toward the world at large, our instinct to make a difference, understanding that every thought-word-action reverberates outward, has an impact, seen or unseen.

as jane goodall said: “you cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. what you do makes a difference, & you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

jane, who passed this week, had three planets in aquarius, which was her fourth house, the house, among other things, of home & feeling at home, at peace, in ourselves. she felt at home being of service to the world & it brought her peace. may she rest in peace.

dhaniṣṭā means “wealthiest.” its symbol is a drum & it is ruled by the vasus, eight deities who represent/embody the elemental forces that sustain life, all the resources we need to feel wealthy-abundant-prosperous, to shine, dwell in our shining: perseverance, wisdom, joy, etc. if, for example, we don’t love what we do, we won’t stick to doing it, will we? the drum reminds us that we each have a natural rhythm & that being in tune, in alignment, with it, dancing to our own beat brings success. jane always danced to her own beat, defied norms.

the center of a drum is hollow, so we get to remember that our center is also hollow, that it is through sushumna nadi, our central channel, that the music of the divine flows, that we are vehicles for it. it’s a good day to tune the joyful instrument that is you!

it’s the twelfth lunar day (tithi), the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, whose quality is wealth (!) & resonates well not only with dhaniṣṭā but with friday to boot. the trifecta produces a siddha yoga, a powerful combo for success. how might you take advantage of that juiciness?

friday is ruled by venus, planet of love & beauty, who is just about right on top of ketu, the shadowy planet who likes to take things away or make us restructure them, ask, in this case, whether our relationships reflect our light or our shadow, bring out our best, enhance our joy, or the opposite.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
