bharaṇī is where, well, we reap the consequences of putting our heads down & not looking where we’re going. it’s where we get to clean up any breakage, take responsibility, own our mistakes & make amends if necessary. this star allows us to fiercely pivot, to let go of attachments. maybe that business plan wasn’t such a good idea, but at least we tried! maybe there’s a better way & all we have to release is our notion of how it’s supposed to go. saying sorry can be hard but powerful.

the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waning moon, is ruled by goddess nitya, whose name means “eternal,” as in the eternal mother (all the goddesses are moms, aspects of the divine mother) who lovingly keeps us on our path. she shows us our repetitive patterns & what they say about us. she also reminds us that confusion is ok, it means that something is getting stirred up, something is about to be revealed. wait for it!
