it’s friday, december 5, & moon moves from taurus into gemini at exactly (!) 9:43 a.m. MST while being supported & transported by the starspace called mṛgaśira.
while taurus is our comfort zone, where we feel safe ‘n’ cozy, safe ‘n’ cozy can get a little, um, boring, can make us feel so snug as a bug that we don’t wanna budge, bust outta our cocoon, leave home.
gemini tantalizes, titillates, tickles us with ideas, seduces us with stimulating scenery. gemini is the third house of the natural zodiac, where we try new things to figure out what resonates, expands our experience of who we are; where we test ourselves against others (siblings, friends, colleagues, strangers) to discover our own strengths & weaknesses. it’s where the ego sort of pumps iron, b/c while too much ego can make us prideful & obnoxious, we do need a healthy ego to get out of bed every day & participate in life, be our fullest human selves.
where might your curiosity take you today? what new explorations might you undertake (until midmorning sunday, when moon moves into cancer)?
mṛgaśira, speaking of curiosity, invites the curiosity to seek out the soma of life, that elixir that brings joy—not the temporary joy that might come from a scoop of ice cream, but eternal joy, which is a quashing of desire, b/c the desire for eternal joy is our ultimate desire & once it is satisfied—poof!—desire disappears.
like the soma that arose after the churning of the milk ocean (see yesterday’s post for more), that joy, ananda, is not easily found/achieved/produced, but/& nothing really worth having is, isn’t it? when we pay for something—with time, energy or money—it is so much more valuable, so much more appreciated, savored, isn’t it?
it’s the first lunar day (tithi), the first phase of the waning moon, until midday, then the second. what a coincidence (!) that nectar & pride are on the front burner today. the first tithi has the quality of nectar, the fulfillment of our desire(s), & resonates well with friday, creating a siddha yoga, a combo for accomplishment—yay!
the second tithi has the quality of pride, of just enough pride, confidence, for us to commit to how we want to use our creative energy, manifest, & the one-two-three punch of second tithi + mṛgaśira + friday creates … wait for it! … an amrita yoga, a combo that brings, yes, nectar—double yay!
friday is ruled by venus, who pretty much rules our human experience, b/c everything we experience in these bodies is through our senses & venus loves loves loves, delights delights delights in delicious/beautiful tastes, sounds, touches, etc., delights in love, loves being delighted. friday is the best day to be in the flow of love & what delights you!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
