it’s tuesday, july 23, & moon is in aquarius, moving from the starspace called dhanishtha into shatabhishak around 8:30 a.m. MDT. aquarius vibrates with the frequency of humanitarianism, of the global village & our role in it. under the sway of aquarius we realize that everything we do ripples outward, impacts the world around us, starting with our neighborhood & extending, eventually but inevitably, to the whole planet. just as the wingbeat of a butterfly can cause dramatic weather events thousands of miles away, so our seemingly insignificant actions can have profound consequences.
shatabhishak (see yesterday’s post for dhanishtha) is the star of healing. a friend recently shared the narrative of her father’s, & thus her family’s, healing from his alcoholism. her mother, fed up with his constant checking out, eventually gave him an ultimatum, & he realized she meant business. so he signed up for AA, went through the twelve-step program, got sober—once, twice, thrice. the fifth step is “to admit to god, ourselves & another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.” he seemed to have no trouble admitting his wrongs to others (& i assume to god—they were church people), but it wasn’t until he finally confronted himself & admitted to himself, owned the truth of his alcoholism, that he was able to become sober once & for all. this asterism brings a lesson about trying a hundred modalities, trying a hundred times if necessary, to find a cure for what ails us, which starts with owning that something does, whether physically, emotionally or psychically.
it’s the third lunar day (tithi), the third phase of the waning moon, which brings a quality of nourishment to sustain our lives, the way a mother (talking divine feminine energy here, not being sexist!) sweetly & gently & compassionately takes care of children & home.
tuesday is ruled by courageous mars, our warrior spirit, who gives us the ability to fight the good fight. tuesday is a good day for surgical operations, like literally surgery but also pointed attacks, confrontations, like the ones congress is having with the director of the secret service to get to the bottom (as if!) of her & their recent ineptitude. if you’re not in congress, use today’s energy with precision to attack your own inner enemies, like fears & doubts & limiting beliefs. oh, yeah, & beware pointy objects!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
