it’s tuesday, september 16, & moon moves from gemini into cancer midday (1 p.m. MDT, to be exact) while being supported & transported by the starspace called punarvasu. while gemini is all thinky, cancer is all feely. while outward-bound gemini says, “try it, you might like it,” inward-bound cancer says, “home is where the heart is.” we explore to discover more about who we are, to expand our notion of self; then integrate what resonates to find new self-acceptance, a deeper sense of inner peace.
punarvasu means “return” (punar) of the “light” (vasu), & reminds us that light is ever renewing, that the sun always comes out after storms. it also reminds us that life is circular, cyclical, goes round & round like a merry-go-round, that if we don’t get it right the first time we’ll have another opportunity. in fact, this is the star of second chances: what would you like to try again?
the presiding deity of punarvasu is aditi, mother nature herself, the mother of all that is. her name means “unbounded,” as in infinite creative potential, infinite nourishment, as in a mind that is unbounded, not limited, nonjudgmental.
it’s the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waning moon, until about 1 p.m. MDT, then the eleventh, so another shift of energy/support (more below!). the tenth tithi supports us in attending to our dharma, realigning with our purpose; the eleventh with our spiritual practices, like meditation, which can help us realign, rebalance, ground in our true nature. all we have to do is witness, abide.
“the only thing that always abides is your witnessing. that witnessing brings balance. that witnessing is balance.”—osho
tuesday is ruled by mars, our warrior spirit, whose chops are best used to defend not attack, to do battle with our own limiting beliefs & negative tendencies, including judging others, rather than turning others into enemies.
bonus track: sun is changing signs today, moving from leo into virgo early afternoon. sun is our soul(ar) battery & when he moves signs he’s sort of unplugged, so we may feel unplugged as well. it’s a good idea to lower our expectations, take a “beach day” if possible. especially b/c there have been a lot of planetary shifts since saturday: venus moved from cancer into leo, mercury from leo into virgo, mars from virgo into libra. that’s A LOT! abide! witness!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
