it’s friday, march 27, moon is in cancer, in the starspace called puṣya, it’s the tenth phase of the waxing moon & venus’ day.

cancer is the sign of the divine feminine, the fourth sign of the natural zodiac, is ruled by the moon & is represented by a crab—whaaaat? cancer loves unconditionally, is all heart all the time, wants inner peace for one & all & can be sooooo generously giving, so selflessly concerned with the well-being, the inner-peace, of others, so empathetic that she takes on emotions that aren’t hers, exhausts herself.

“water takes on the color of the vessel in which it is contained.”—rumi

the crab’s hard carapace is a reminder of our need for boundaries, of knowing what’s ours & what’s not, that we need to put on our own oxygen mask first, make sure our own tank is full.

puṣya is ruled by brihaspati, priest & advisor to the gods, who is the guru among the planets, jupiter himself. just as a priest nourishes his flock with wisdom, the word puṣya means “nourisher” & is related to the word puṣṭi, “contentment,” originally in the agricultural sense of the well-being of livestock, keeping them well-fed & well taken care of, which produces prosperity—the animals yield meat & milk (this was back in the day when people had fewer food choices, lived in harmony with nature).

this nakshatra brings a lesson about what we nourish & how we do so & the results (prosperity) that come with our efforts, which are in direct proportion to the quality of our nourishment, whether it is pure & organic or the equivalent of junk food, whether we are serious & focussed or not.

the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waxing moon, is ruled by nitya devi, whose name means “eternal,” as in ever-unfolding, unrestricted, & is connected to dharma, our soul purpose, what we are here for. she helps us see the patterns & repetitive events (like, um, somehow always dating the same person?!) that are restricting us, preventing us from fulfilling our dharma. which can be confusing—how does that keep happening? but confusion means that some greater truth is about to be revealed.

can you be with the confusion? can you trust your intuition, listen to it when it signals that something wants to come?

friday is ruled by venus, who has just moved into aries, where romance might zoom boldly into your life—no promises! meanwhile, friday is always a great good day for art & nature & socializing & generally indulging (in a healthy way) in whatever brings you joy, makes you feel into the fullness of your human experience.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
