it’s wednesday, may 27, moon is moving into libra while being supported & transported by the starspace called citrā as i write, it’s the twelfth phase of the waxing moon & mercury’s day.
libra vibrates with the frequency of relationships—romantic, platonic, business, familial, temporary or forever—& how they make us feel, what they mirror back to us about who we are & how we are showing up, how safe we feel to be our most authentic, truest, realest selves.
“if you are wondering who your people are, they are the ones who make your heart feel seen & your nervous system feel calm.
“yes, it’s that simple.”—yung pueblo
who makes your heart feel seen, your nervous system feel calm? who are your people?
citrā is ruled by tvashtar, the cosmic architect (we have him to thank for the zodiac!), who sort of teleported the inkling of an idea into actuality, manifested from the magic dark of his mind into the light of day, created things that were useful & beautiful as direct transmissions, expressions of his beingness.
“sometimes I think that every creative act is, at heart, a form of correspondence. a journal entry. a novel. a song. all messages sealed inside a bottle & thrown into the sea. each saying, in one way or another: i was here. i felt this. did you ever feel this too?”—suleika jouad
what would you create as a way of saying, “i am here”? as a way of creating relationship? to add beauty to the world?
of course our lives, our selves are the greatest expressions of our beingness: is yours both useful & beautiful, does it resonate with practicality & aesthetic pleasingness?
the twelfth lunar day (tithi), the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, supports us by yielding the fruits, the results, of yesterday’s spiritual work, inner work, which are forms of prayer, are they not? when we sit on our meditation cushion, dive into self-inquiry, isn’t it a prayer to be more fully who we are, more connected to our divine nature?
“prayer is not asking. prayer is putting oneself in the hands of god, at his disposition, & listening to his voice in the depth of our hearts.”—mother teresa
wednesday invites us into the energy of mercury, who is all communication all the time, so you could take a page (another page?!) from suleika (i can’t recommend her substack, the isolation journals, enough!) & send a missive to someone, maybe someone you admire but have no relationship with—a beautiful gesture all by itself & maybe the start of a beautiful thing!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
