it’s wednesday, may 13, moon is in pisces, in the starspace called uttarabhādra until about 1 p.m. MDT, then revatī, it’s the twelfth phase of the waning moon & mercury’s day.
pisces is where our desire to become one with all existence can become misguided, where we want quick results & turn to drugs (not drug-shaming anyone!).
back in the day when ram dass was experimenting (rather seriously!) with LSD, thinking it was the shortcut to bliss, his guru, neem karoli baba, told him to stop all that, that it might provide a glimpse of god, of oneness, briefly, but it could not bring him into a state of being permanently one with god, with all of existence.
then maharaji asked ram dass to give him some of that “yogi medicine” & ram dass watched him take tab after tab after tab, which had no effect on maharaji b/c his mind was already one with god.
uttarabhādra brings stability to what was shaken up, gives us an opportunity to take yesterday’s inspiration, yesterday’s “aha!,” & run with it, use it or lose it. did you have a lightbulb moment yesterday? what are you doing with it? how can you ground it?
revatī, the last nakshatra of the last sign of the zodiac, is our homecoming, the reaching of our destination, the completion of a journey, which is, of course, our soul’s journey … one more time around. are you closer to coming home to yourself? what are you completing?
the twelfth lunar day (tithi), the twelfth phase of the waning moon, brings answers to what we prayed for when we turned inward yesterday. what did you pray for? prayer takes many forms. what form did your prayers take?
“prayer is the song of the heart. it reaches the ear of god even if it is mingled with the cry & tumult of a thousand men.”—kahlil gibran
wednesday invites us to surf mercury‘s curious & communicative energy, to have conversations, write emails, post on social media platforms, get our word out … in a gentle, not hostile, way. mercury has been in aries, with sun, for a while, creating an auspicious budhaditya yoga, which combines mercury’s intellectual prowess & sun’s powerful leadership, firing up & clarifying our ideas & ability to share them.
what house does aries represent for you? that’s where this yoga has one more day to work its magic.
meanwhile, mercury is also combust the sun, getting singed by sun’s rays, which has also been at play for a while & ain’t goin’ away anytime soon, so we do get to beware sharing thoughts before they’re really ripe ‘n’ ready.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
