it’s monday, may 22, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace called ardra. gemini vibrates with the frequency of intellectual & creative curiosity & the desire to share—i.e., communicate—the gems that curiosity uncovers. mercury’s rulership of gemini creates an environment of stimulation & playfulness, for mercury is agile, flexible, his airiness gives him the ability to follow this tangent here, that tangent there, just for the fun of it, b/c mercury is nothing less than a fun guy, a kid at heart, an innocent uncorrupted by, untraumatized by, unconstricted by the expectations & judgments of society.
picasso famously said, “every child is an artist. the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” gemini invites us to tap into our innate innocence, the ability to create b/c that’s our essence.
ardra is ruled by rudra, the hunter, who wields a bow & has the power to pull an arrow back & hit the target. no one, or it would be the rare person, can hit the target without learning technique & practicing like crazy. this asterism brings a lesson about the connection between effort & achieving our goals. practice & all is coming, said shri k. pattabhi jois. there also happens to be a supportive aspect between jupiter & mars today giving us a kick in the butt to initiate changes we need to make in our lives b/c of disappointments, difficulties or the like. let’s get cracking & so we can hit our targets!
it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in being as flexible as gumby doing the limbo, or, um, mercury doing the limbo, which mercury is expert at. you may set an agenda for today only to have to switch things up or cancel-clear-delete. no worries! you got this! just make sure to keep anyone affected in the loop by, um, communicating.
monday is ruled by the moon, who is our feeling nature. moon wants us to feel all our feelings, to expand our capacity to feel. our challenge is to feel all our feelings without attaching to them, without identifying with them—without thinking “i’m sad” or “i’m happy,” but rather “i’m feeling sad” or “i’m feeling happy.” we get to watch our feelings the way we do our thoughts when we meditate. we get to practice loving them & leaving them, letting them go. how does that land?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
