it’s thursday, july 20, & moon is in leo, in the starspace called magha. after basking in the divine feminine energy of cancer, we do a 180 in leo & swim in the energy of the divine masculine. cancer is the fourth house of the natural zodiac, leo the fifth. the fourth house is where we feel into what resonates in our heart, into what we love, the fifth where we act on that love, cultivate it, turn it into something tangible, share it with the world. leo is often associated with performers & performing, it’s where we are prepared (!) to unabashedly embody our uniqueness & take center stage, invite the spotlight, like an actor does.
magha means “mighty” & is ruled by the pitris, our ancestors—all of them, all those who came before us, not just the ones who passed their biological genes on to us, but all those who passed something on to us, like encouragement & inspiration. we are mighty b/c of them, b/c of the groundwork laid by others, b/c they did their best so we could do even better, b/c they showed us the way. we get to remember that, remember that we are not alone, did not get here alone, & that when we do our best, we pass it around & forward to our own extended family, biological or otherwise.

it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in not being attached to our plan, being able to change course, do a 180 (!) if necessary & keep anyone who might be affected by our new direction in the loop.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, planet of grace, hope, faith, luck, abundance & wisdom, among other awesome qualities. “luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity,” wrote the roman philosopher seneca, reminding us that we make our own luck. yeah, jupiter doesn’t really just hand it to us, but he does help us create the conditions for us to recognize our good fortune when it arrives by giving us the wisdom to do our prep work, for starters by pursuing knowledge & having faith in ourselves & in the benevolence of the universe.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
