it’s wednesday, april 8, moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mūla, it’s the seventh phase of the waning moon & mercury’s day.

sagittarius is where we realize that there was a reason for our sturm &/or drang under the sway of scorpio, that while we might not be able to see where we are going, see the map of our entire life, the universe has a plan for us & all is unfolding exactly according to that divine plan, each piece of our life puzzle is being intentionally dropped into place, that each lesson leads to the next & the next.

“always remember, the universe has a way of leading you to where you’re supposed to be at the moment you’re supposed to be there.”—men in black: international

even bad movies can produce a gem or two!

how would it feel to accept/embrace/own that you are exactly where you need to be, are meant to be? what piece of the puzzle that is you just dropped into place?

mūla means “root” & is ruled by niritti, perhaps the fiercest aspect of the fierce & destructive goddess kali, so not surprisingly this nakshatra’s superpower is the ability to ruin or destroy—roar! but this isn’t destruction for the sake of destruction, not megalomaniacal destruction (like, um, bombing a country back to the stone age—WTF?!), but destruction like yanking weeds out of the garden that are taking vital nutrients away from the broccoli & carrots & kale.

what weeds do you get to pull? where is your vitality being diverted?

the seventh lunar day (tithi), the seventh phase of the waning moon, is ruled by goddess shivaduti, whose name means “the messenger of shiva” & gives us self-control, control over our fickle, always in motion, mind, like shiva, the master meditator, who wore the moon in his hair, symbolizing control over his unsteady mind.

in order to control our mind, we have to become aware of what’s going on in it, have to become masters of the unconscious habits & tendencies that are determining our reality.

“until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life & you will call it fate.”—carl jung

& guess what? shivaduti loves mercury’s intellect & powers of discernment, which help reveal our hidden tendencies, see them for what they are, so we can wrest control over them.

wednesday is ruled by mercury, who means what he says & says what he means, doesn’t throw words around haphazardly, wield them like swords, which might be pointed back at himself. he uses them to share information, to communicate with discernment.

“we cannot be too careful about the words we use; we start out using them & they end up using us.”—eugene h. peterson

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
