it’s friday, may 26, & moon moves from cancer into leo, & from the starspace called ashlesha into magha, just after 9 a.m. mountain time. leo vibrates with the frequency of the divine masculine, is the kingly counterpoint to the queenly, divine feminine energy of cancer. whereas cancer is receptive, leo is active; cancer feels, leo does. cancer is a sort of jumping-off point (see more below!) for leo—first we feel it in our heart, then we do something, act on what resonated, what landed.
magha (see yesterday’s post for ashlesha) means “mighty” & is ruled by the pitris, our ancestors—genetic & otherwise; all those who came before us & laid the groundwork for us, gave us a jumping-off point.
“my parents’ ceiling is my floor, & my ceiling is whatever i give myself the permission to make it in this life,” wrote aubrey marcus (i think!) in a recent fit for service newsletter. “sometimes it feels like the paths of our parents are predestined to be ours as well. instead, they are the starting point; an example of where the work begins if we want a different outcome.”
magha invites us to honor our ancestors by not wasting all their great good effort & so going further than they were able to. what was your starting point? where do you want to go? bow down to your ancestors, show your gratitude, & goooo!
it’s the seventh lunar day, the seventh phase of the waxing moon, which is ruled by indra, the sometimes pompous god. we are reminded, especially given moon in leo, that the highest expression of our sovereignty is benevolence, that ruling our domains righteously means doing so with humility.
friday is owned by venus, planet of love & other earthly delights, who just wants us to be happy. as embodied beings living on the earth plane, our human experience is a venusian one. we are meant to appreciate & be made happy by all the gifts brought to us through our senses—art, music, food, massages, sex, conversation, people, nature. khalil gibran said, “life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.” when we are in the flow of love, we are in the flow of our pleasure. how much pleasure we allow into our lives might be a measure of our capacity to love—ourselves & others. more is always possible!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
