it’s friday, november 28, & moon is in aquarius, in the starspace called śatabhiṣak. aquarius is the sign of the people, the masses, the great ocean, as i mentioned yesterday, of humanity. humanity is defined, in merriam-webster, as “the quality or state of being humane.” to be humane means to be fully human—to be “marked by compassion, sympathy, or consideration for other human beings or animals,” it is “the totality of attributes which distinguish humans from other beings.”

embracing our fullest humanity, our fullest humanness, vibrating at our highest frequency of aliveness contributes to the well-being of the planet, ripples outward & outward & outward, inciting more aliveness, more compassion, more sympathy as the ripples expand.

“don’t ask what the world needs. ask what makes you come alive, & go do it. b/c what the world needs is people who have come alive.”—racial-barrier-buster howard thurman

śatabhiṣak means “100 healers/doctors/medicines/shamans.” it is ruled by varuna, god of the oceans, who is sometimes depicted holding a pot of soma (elixir of immortality & fave bev of the gods), sometimes medicinal herbs. so not surprisingly this asterism brings a lesson about healing, about rejuvenation—physically & psychologically. sometimes we have to try 100 different modalities—if talk therapy doesn’t work, maybe we try EMDR; if chinese medicine doesn’t work, we might go the allopathic route.

the maxim “doctor, heal thyself” resonates with the idea of raising our own vibration to raise the vibration of the world. it’s a good day to work our shamanic magic, on ourselves or others, which might turn out to be the same thing.

it’s the eighth lunar day (tithi), the eighth phase of the waxing moon, until just before noon MST, then the ninth. the eighth tithi looks like one of those black & white cookies, aka “half-moon cookies,” that new york bakeries are famous for, so we may be feeling half-moon-ish, half dark & half light, being given the opportunity to embrace our full humanity, our anger & our joy, for example.

the ninth tithi is ruled by the nagas, those serpents of our depths, & durga, the ur mother. we may feel the need for alone time as we dive into our emotional/psychological depths, but/& we are never truly alone with durga holding space for us, giving us courage to be with & process what arises, do our inner work.

friday is ruled by venus, planet of earthly delights, who reminds us that we are spiritual beings clothed in human bodies & that these bodies are a gift, the means for our evolution. how can you IN-joy your embodied existence today?

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
