it’s wednesday, may 10, & moon is moving from sagittarius into capricorn midmorning while being supported & transported by the starspace called uttarashadha. the transition from sagittarius into capricorn is one from hopefulness into reality. capricorn brings the formless, amorphous, ethereal, the potential of sagittarius down to earth, into form, gives it shape & substance. jupiter, who rules sag, dreams big; saturn, who rules cap, gets down to brass tacks, makes a plan to make the dream reality. there’s a quote by flaubert (altho i can’t seem to source it now), who said something like, “genius doesn’t happen unless you’re sitting at your desk.” capricorn makes sure we are sitting at our desk, doing the work.
uttarashadha is the counterpart to yesterday’s purvashadha. they’re both connected to the unique gift/desire that lies within each of us that wants to be revealed, that must be revealed for us to feel whole as whole. the purification, the clearing, of purva leads to the ultimate victory of uttara, as we call in the universal gods (hey, no one can do it all by themself!), who have the power to fulfill our wishes & prayers. what is your greatest wish? how hard are you praying for it? what are you doing to make it happen, for we know that prayer without action is useless. who are you asking for help?
it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waning moon, which is ruled by kartikeya, shiva’s younger son, & is also connected to victory; for kartikeya was nothing if not a general who won battle after battle. so it’s a doubly good day to give ourselves something to celebrate!
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who uses discriminating intelligence to pursue the truth. “truth is like a lion,” said st. augustine. “you don’t have to defend it. let it loose & it will defend itself.” truth is truth; it isn’t dependent or co-dependent. with mercury being retrograde of late, lots of truths, long hidden/repressed, have come out of the shadows—which see the twitter files revealing the collusion between the government & media; the sort-of release of cia documents pertaining to jfk’s assassination (the event, btw, which birthed the term “conspiracy” in its aftermath!); & the hunter biden laptop disinformation campaign, just to name a few. what truths, long hidden or unacknowledged, in your personal life have come out to play?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
